What’s so great about Traveling as a Nurse anyway?

Where do we start? Working as a travel nurse gives you the opportunity for exciting new experiences, making new friends and memories, and allows to earn more while doing it!

Most assignments are 8-13 weeks in length – a great way to get a taste of a city or region of the country, and then go on your way to a new adventure! No commitments or feeling tied down – TravelMax gives you the freedom to customize your own career path and opens you to limitless adventure! Many use travel assignments as a way to “try on” new cities before committing to move. Give us your list!

Many choose travel jobs because as a TravelMax Traveler you have the potential to earn more in total compensation. If your assignment is further than 50 miles from your permanent tax home (and most are), you may be eligible for untaxed earnings consistent with IRS guidelines. (Contact a Tax Professional for advice on this topic). In addition, since we’re paying most of your living expenses (rent, benefits and daily stipend), your out-of-pocket costs are minimal. Furthermore, our pay rates are highly competitive (and most times better) than what a non-traveler earns. Combine all of this together, and you can expect to make about 20-40% more as a travel nursing healthcare professional with TravelMax.
