An ALL GIRLS Leisure camp located in Maine (ME), halfway in between Bangor and Lewiston is looking for at least one experienced Peds (Pediatrics) RN.
The dates are June 14 - August 17 at the ALL GIRLS camp. The camp has many other nurses on staff.
Shifts are 7a-3p and 3p-11p (camp schedules everyone for all different shifts based on their demand) and a rotation of on call for after hours. Nurse will work one of these shifts 6 days on and one day off.
Nurse is not a counselor, just attends to medical needs at a new state of the art health center located on camp grounds (virtual tour available). Nurse will mostly be dealing with scrapes, head lice, bumps, and bruises. Candidate must be able to show compassion and be able to comfort campers in these type situations. They have a Nurse Practitioner that oversees the clinic and there are 2 hospitals (Waterville Inland Hospital and Maine General) near the camp to deal with anything that required more extensive medical attention.
There are a total of 290 girls, ages 7 to 15 (special consideration for siblings just younger or older), at the camp at any one time. They partake in activities such as waterskiing, sailing, tennis, photography, creative arts, performing arts, and a ton of other fun stuff.
Nurse goes on camp’s payroll and can expect to earn between $4000 and $5000 for the summer depending on experience and qualifications. Nurse also gets free room (private quarters) and board and they can bring their own daughters to attend camp for free (if space available). This is a great benefit as the camp is about $10,000 to send a child for the summer. The camp does not provide benefits. HR credentials are minimum as they only require a Physical and TB.
